Jesus Christ

Our Lord and Savior, the Eternal High Priest and Son of the Living God. In the Garden of Gethsemane and upon the Cross, He offered the perfect prayer of surrender to the will of the Father. He remains the source and model of all Christian prayer.

Through His prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane and upon the Cross, He offered the perfect oblation to the Father, obtaining the redemption of mankind and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the Church.
